Step 1: Insert the Allen key in the black cover and turn counterclockwise to open and remove the cover.

Step 2: Disconnect the wire attachment from the top of the battery block. (If there is no blue flash coming from the mainboard, it's a good indicator that the door does need a new one.) Also disconnect the Goki battery.

Step 3: Locate the room number on the Goki Spaces app. Press the three dots on the top right of the screen and select the "Disconnect" option.

Step 4: The room should no longer be located with the rest of the rooms, but "floating" at the top of the page under "Not Connected" (If the app says the lock cannot be found, and therefore cannot disconnect, move to step 5).

Step 5: In the case you cannot disconnect the door, create a New Room by pressing the black circle with + in the centre (located on the bottom right of the screen). Name the room (e.g. Room 201 New) and include the Floor number. (If the original room was successfully moved to the "Not Connected" area from step 4, disregard this step)

Step 6: Unplug the old mainboard from the wire and replace it with the new one. In the case you need to also replace the wires (only when wires are damaged), refer to Image 1 for the proper placements.

  • Wire 1 should connect to a hanging wire, which is also black and red. Wires 2 and 3 should connect directly to the door. Wire 2 should be facing in the direction shown in Image 1 (the two blue and green wires connecting to the loose wire of equal width, and the single green wire connecting directly into the door).

Step 7: Select the room from the "Not Connected" area and select the "Connect Smart Disc" option.

Step 8: Follow the directions as the app instructs

  • Press the button on the new mainboard you just connected (shown in Image 2) until the blue light appears from it.
  • A mainboard option with a green circle next to it should appear. Select this option.
  • The next screen should instruct you to press the small button at the back of the Goki battery (use a paperclip). Keep holding down this button until the third beep (there should be two shorter beeps followed by the longer third one).
  • A lock option with a green circle next to it should appear. Select this option.

Step 9Reassemble the door (2A and Goki batteries) and sync the batteries through the app. Test to see if the lock is functioning properly.

Step 10: If a new room was created (because the original was not able to disconnect properly), remove the old room from Goki and rename the new one to match the rest of the rooms.
