Step1: Batteries
- Once inside the room, open the back of the lock using the red Allen wrench, as seen in the photo, counter-clockwise screw to open the cover.
- Disconnect the wire attachment from the top of the battery block.
- Replace the batteries, making sure their orientation is correct; take one out at a time and place the new one in exactly the same direction as the original.
- Reattach the wire connector, which you should hear a gentle noise after completing the wire attachment if it's working.
- Place the battery box on the ledge
- Put back the cover and screw it back in.
------ONLY FOR VINGCARD------
Step 2: Reprogram the lock
Obtain the VingCard handheld module from the front desk. Locate the remote reader
tab in the closet and attach the phone plug end to the machine's base. The other cord does nothing.
Enter the password 6065 and then enter. Scroll down to Lock-link (3), press enter, and then Program Lock (1) see above, followed by enter. When prompted, empty the room number of the lock you wish to reprogram. Insert the flat end of the reader tab into the key slot, face up. Watching the screen, remove and re-insert the reader tab as required - usually 2-3 times. Once the lock has been successfully reprogrammed, the screen will read Completed!
Withdraw the tab and return the handheld device to the office. Test the lock with your master card or
the card intended for that lock.
Occasionally, there are errors, and the machine responds with Communication Lost. At that point, you'll need to return to the beginning and do it again.
